A rough year...but...

Good Morning on this Beautiful day!

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. That's because a lot has been going on in my life this past year. I'm still taking classes and will graduate this May.  I started a new nursing job.  I got married in July to my wonderful husband, Jake.  It truly was a beautiful day.  Then, in August, I got a call from my dad to tell me my brother had been in an accident.  The accident wasn't his fault, but it resulted in many, many days in the ICU and some very tough decisions.  Since they couldn't fix his leg, he had to have it amputated. He has been learning everything all over again, and still has a very long road to go.  A few days after the accident, my wonderful, selfless, loving, caring, kind (and so many other things) Grandpa left us unexpectedly to enter a place even more beautiful than we could ever imagine. He was my best friend and confidant, and I really miss him.  My brother was still in the ICU when the funeral took place, so he had to say "good-bye" from miles away.  It was heart-breaking.  Just when I thought, "Things have got to get better," Jake's beautiful Grandma Charlotte suffered a heart attack and went to join my Grandpa.  It has truly been a rough year.  However, December brought some good news. Jake and I are going to be parents!  We couldn't be more excited!  We are in love with our little peanut already!  We know that we have some beautiful angels watching over us to guide us through the coming months. What we learned this year: even through trials and tribulations, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.  Things DO get better. We can't control what happens, but we can control how we react and rebound.

Radiantly Beautiful with Aveeno

Alright everyone, I am a HUGE skeptic when it comes to skincare products.  My skin is far from ideal and overly sensitive to....well, everything.  Ninety-nine percent of everything I've tried has made me break out in horrible hives.  I know...SO not attractive!  So I definitely had my doubts about Aveeno.  HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised.  I recieved the Aveeno Positively Radiant Voxbox from Influenster.  I recieved these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes--Thanks Influenster and Aveeno!  It was a full-sized Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector.

So, let's get down to business...After getting over my fear of trying new skincare products, I tried it....and held my breath.  I was waiting for some sort of a horrible reaction.  The verdict?  A super moisturizing, non-greasy, WONDERFUL product! I haven't been using it for long, but I am truly pleased with the slight changes in my skin.  The scent is subtle and fresh.  Sun spots and the "awesome" spots left from acne are lightened.  Mind you, I've only been using it for one week.  I am looking forward to seeing even better progress.  I highly recommend this product to anyone struggling with dark spots and discoloration.  You can find it at Wal*Mart for $14.97.  You won't regret this one!  Get it, try it, love it and get #RadiantWithAVEENO

Have a beautiful, radiant day!

Stress Sweat Saver :)

Hey Beauties!
So, as many of you know, I received the Influenster SweetHeart Vox Box 2013.  In it, I received Secret Clinical Stress Response.  I've been using it for a few weeks now.  The verdict?  The best investment anyone could ever make!  Seriously...It is fabulous!  I have experienced more stress in the past week than I have in my entire life.

Working in the NICU was such a change for me.  I felt like I would break those tiny humans.  However, I found it to be the most rewarding, beautiful experience of my entire life.  I live and breath for kiddos, but going into someplace entirely new is stressful in and of itself.  Nobody needs to know how stressful it is for you.  But Secret kept me sweat free and I couldn't be happier.  Between no sweat and being with my favorite little people of all time, it was truly the greatest day of my life.  Without secret, my "secret" would be everyone's business.

Thanks Secret for keeping my "secret" a secret!

Stay beautiful!

I belong with you, you belong with me. Your my SWEETHEART-VoxBox 2013!

Hey Sweethearts!
I am on cloud nine!  Just received my Influenster Sweetheart VoxBox 2013.  You probably have seen or heard what was included in it, but even if you have, we'll go more in depth!
So...drum roll please....

The very first thing I took out of my box was the SKINNYGIRL DAILY ON-THE-GO BAR in BLUEBERRY! (They are valued at $9.99 for a box of 5 bars!)  Needless to say, it was gone in 60 seconds :)  They are seriously SO delish!  They are packed with protein, but totally don't have the typical gritty protein feeling!

The next product I pulled out of the box was SECRET CLINICAL STRESS RESPONSE! (Valued between $7.99-9.99)
Oh..My...Goodness! I use Secret Clinical anyway (typically OOh-La-La-Lavender.)  The stress response aspect is crazy good!  There's no need to reapply during the day, because it adjusts to your body!
Next, I recieved NOT YOUR MOTHER'S BEACH BABE TEXTURIZING SEAL SALT SPRAY! This stuff is seriously fantastic!  If you want a fresh from the beach look, but the temperatures are far from beach friendly, this spray is perfect!

So, finally, I tried the Olay Fresh Effects (Va-Va-Vivid!) Powered Contour Cleansing System (valued at  $12.99.)  I have combination skin, so this was great for me!  It takes away the oiliness of the skin and leaves a glowing complexion.
Influenster is open to ANYONE who is ready and willing to review products with an honest opinion!  All you have to do is go to influenster.com and sign up!  You will not regret it!  Have fun sweethearts!

Pure Pore-fection!

Are you one of those people that are tired of looking in the mirror and seeing one thing....huge, ugly, pores?!? Well, I used to.  After starting a skin care regime and using the best primer out there. I am pore-stricken no more!

After trying literally dozens of primers, I found my favorite! Too Faced Primed and Poreless!
It is seriously so smooth and fantastic!  Coming in close? Arbonne's Primer!  These two are truly comparable! The only difference? Too Faced is slightly tinted and Arbonne's is a little more expensive.  However, you need less of Arbonne's for full coverage.

I cannot believe I didn't find this sooner!  It's more than worth the investment!  I have an airbrushing system (Dinair), but I honestly cannot tell the difference in regular foundation as long as I have this beneath it!  If I use it under my airbrush makeup, it's guaranteed that it won't move an inch!  If you want your makeup to look beautiful and stay put, try either of these products and you won't be disappointed!

Until next time,
Cassie

It Makes Scents!

Hey Everyone!

We all know that doing dishes is...well, one of the worst jobs (ever.)  Well, Palmolive made that job just a little bit easier with Palmolive Fresh Infusions!  Scents other than standard, boring smells?  YES PLEASE!

I was SO blessed to have received the Palmolive Fresh Infusions VoxBox from Influenster!  I so, so appreciate it!  They "scent" me three full size dish soaps!  I got one bottle of: Ginger White Tea, Lemon Thyme, and Lime Basil.  I am in love!  My favorite?  That's easy-Lemon Thyme.  Originally, I thought Lime Basil was great!  It is, BUT I have grown to love Lemon Thyme a whole lot!

I'm totally sold on this!  Doing dishes will never be the same <--THANK GOODNESS!  If you haven't already, check it out!  If you have, Congratulations on making one of the BEST decisions ever!  WOOHOO for you!

Have a wonderful day!

Dirt Devil Steam Mop

So makeup is only one part of a beautiful life.  Another part is keeping a clean home (if your are type A like me :)

Anyway, for Christmas I received the Dirt Devil Steam Mop!  I was SO beyond excited!  I love to clean everything.  The worst thing ever? Mopping...I despise it...a lot.  So, Christmas morning I woke up and cleaned all the floors I could in my house....2, MAYBE 3 times ;)  Yep, I sure did.

I always wanted to try the Shark Steam Mop, but they're expensive unless you find a mega sale.  I've used both and they are super comparable.  If you are looking to invest, the Dirt Devil is a great option.
I hope all of you had a very Merry and Blessed Christmas with all your loved ones near.

Keep Calm and Clean On everyone!
XOXO
